Harris has gotten a tune out of Gills’ squad

Neil Harris has done a sterling job since taking over as Gillingham boss. The Kent club were in a sorry state when Steve Evans departed and following a brief spell as caretaker by Steve Lovell, Harris took over with what seemed an impossible task to keep The Gills in League One. Gillingham have taken 14 points from the 11 matches Harris has overseen as boss, a points tally which has taken Gillingham outside the drop zone, a point above Wimbledon. Gillingham have taken seven points from their last four away games and travel to a ground on Saturday where they have had success in recent seasons – Gillingham have won on each of their last three visits to The Wham Stadium.

Stanley slacked off with little on the line

Accrington Stanley may have taken their foot off the pedal in recent weeks. It is now one win in the last four for John Coleman’s side, a run which extends to four defeats in their last seven, the Accrington players look to have one eye on the beach with little to play for in the remainder of the season. Neil Harris will have the Gillingham players right at it on Saturday and can take advantage of an out of sorts Accrington.

I’ll be siding with Gillingham in this one. The reverse fixture finished 0-0 back in October and Gillingham go into Saturday’s game in much better form than they were in back then. Accrington, despite a blip of late, have maintained a good level of form at home but they look on the short side having conceded ten goals in their last four matches. I suggest siding with Gillingham Draw No Bet as the main selection and backing a 2-1 win in the correct score market.
