Anderlecht should bounce back

Anderlecht suffered a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Genk in their last match, but they are expected to return to form now they are back on home soil.

The Purple and Whites are unbeaten in nine matches on home soil, winning seven of the last eight, a run that includes impressive successes against Gent, Standard Liege and Kortrijk in the top flight.

However, they are not quite watertight at the back, their last three home game seeing both teams score, while their l last five outings at all venues have yielded merely one clean sheet.

That could be good news for opponents Dender, who have scored in each of their last six outings, although four of them have seen both teams score.

Indeed, the visitors have only kept one clean sheet in their last five on the road, three of which have ended in defeat, including a 4-1 hammering at Club Brugge.

They did beat relegation-threatened Kortrijk in their last match on the road, but Vincent Euvrard’s side have managed just two victories from their last ten games at all venues, losing five times.
