Toulouse can claim a narrow win on the road

Toulouse are the bet away at Angers on Sunday. Carles Martinez’s side travel to Stade Jean-Bouin to face Alexandre Dujeux’s team and can get the win.

They bounced back from a defeat by Paris Saint-Germain two weeks ago by beating ten-man Le Havre 4-1. Toulouse, who were priced at 19/20 to win the game, have won four of the seven matches in which they have been odds-on this season and can now land a victory at a bigger price.

Toulouse are two places above Angers in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Angers are 12th with seven wins and ten defeats, while Toulouse are tenth with eight wins and nine losses.

Angers’ recent form in Ligue 1 has been up and down, with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their last six games. They upset the odds to beat Reims 1-0 at 27/10, but have lost to Marseille and Lens recently as well as last week’s 3-3 draw at St-Etienne.

A narrow Toulouse victory looks the most likely outcome. Angers have sustained three 1-0 defeats this season and there have been fewer than three goals in seven of their last nine Ligue 1 games, so a 1-0 win for Toulouse is the correct-score pick.
