Armenia looking for promotion

Armenia currently occupy the play-off spot in Nations League C Group 4 and they can boost their hopes of moving up a level with victory over the Faroe Islands on Thursday.

North Macedonia are the runaway leaders in this section with 10 points, and just one point separates Armenia in second spot from the visitors at the foot of the table.
These two teams played out an entertaining 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture but on the balance of play Armenia were unlucky not to claim a win.

With home advantage, Armenia look well placed to claim the spoils as they have won two of their last three on home soil but a clean sheet is perhaps less likely.

The Havakakan haven’t kept a clean sheet since 2022, a run stretching 25 games, and as the Faroe Islands scored twice in the last meeting they should at least be able to grab a consolation strike on Thursday.

The Faroe Islands may be in poor form but they can keep this fairly competitive and a 2-1 win for Armenia is the correct score prediction. Håkan Ericson’s side have only conceded more than twice in one of their last 19 games, so back the hosts to grind out a narrow victory.
