Arsenal -2

Reason for tip

Dinamo Zagreb have lost 3-0 to Borussia Dortmund and 9-2 to Bayern Munich this season, and now face an Arsenal side who have won by two or more goals against Sporting and Monaco in their last two in the Champions League, with a -2 handicap being covered seven times this season.

Arsenal 3-0

Reason for tip

Dinamo Zagreb have failed to score in their last two Champions League games and one of these was a 3-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund, while Arsenal’s last game in this competition was a 3-0 win over Monaco.

Arsenal vs Dinamo Zagreb Predictions

  • Arsenal have won by three or more goals seven times this season.
  • Dinamo Zagreb have lost by three or more goals in two of their six Champions League ties this season.
  • Arsenal beat Monaco 3-0 in their last Champions League outing.

Gunners look to bounce back

Arsenal’s bid for the Premier League title took another blow on Saturday as they were held to a draw by Aston Villa, but they should find more success in the Champions League as they face an out-of-practice Dinamo Zagreb.

The Gunners are third in the new league phase of the Champions League but they are just a point inside the top eight, meaning any slip-ups in the remaining two matches could see them forced into a play-off position.

Zagreb back in action after winter break

Dinamo Zagreb should pose few problems, though. The visitors are 24th in the standings and haven’t played a competitive match since before Christmas, with a 3-2 win over Varazdin being their only victory in their last seven competitive matches.

The Croatians’ last Champions League tie was a home draw with Celtic, but a 3-0 loss to Borussia Dortmund and a ridiculous 9-2 loss in Munich makes them a firm underdog for their trip to London.

Routine win for the hosts expected

Mikel Arteta’s side have won four of their last five in this competition and their last two victories – against Sporting and Monaco – have both been won by more than two clear goals.

They have won by three or more goals on seven occasions this season and look a good bet to do so again on Wednesday, while a repeat of their last Champions League result – and Dinamo Zagreb’s last defeat in this competition – looks solid with a 3-0 correct score prediction.
