Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

  • Nottingham Forest are unbeaten in five Premier League away fixtures this season.
  • Arsenal are winless across their last four Premier League matches.
  • Chris Wood has bagged 14 goals in all competitions for club and country this season.

Forest a force on the road

Nottingham Forest were well beaten by Newcastle prior to the recent international break, but they can bounce back from that 3-1 defeat by at least avoiding defeat at Arsenal.

Forest get back to action sitting fifth in the English top flight and it has been a stunning campaign for the Tricky Trees so far.

A 1-0 win at leaders Liverpool is the standout result and the blueprint for that Anfield triumph will be used at the Emirates this week.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will sit back and look to catch the Gunners on the counter-attack, a tactic which also worked in draws at Chelsea and Brighton, and it could be crucial to Forest picking up at least a point this weekend.

Gunners unlikely to fire another blank

Arsenal have failed to score in two of their last three matches but two of those fixtures were away from home and they can hit the target back at the Emirates.

However, just one goal may be all they can manage against a Forest side who will sit back and look to frustrate the home side.

The tactic reaped huge rewards in the 1-0 victory at Liverpool earlier this campaign, and Forest are also fancied to hit the back of the net, just as they have done on all five away games this season.

A 1-1 scoreline is our prediction for correct score punters.

Wood too hot to handle

Chris Wood has been in fantastic form this season and we predict another goal for the New Zealand striker.

Wood has bagged 14 goals for club and country in this campaign, and the 32-year-old is thriving under the tactics being employed by boss Nuno.

Forest love to get balls in the box and that could spell trouble for an Arsenal side who have kept one clean sheet in their last five league outings on home soil.
