Draw

Reason for tip

Atalanta’s domestic form has stuttered of late, as they have only won one of their last six games in Serie A.  However, four of those matches have ended all-square and this cup clash with Bologna could also finish level after 90 minutes given the visitors are draw specialists and have only lost once in 14 matches across all competitions.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Two of Bologna’s last three games have finished 1-1 and that scoreline can be repeated on Tuesday given three of Atalanta’s last nine have also ended in that manner.

Atalanta vs Bologna Predictions

  • Four of Atalanta’s last six domestic games have ended all-square
  • Bologna have drawn 10 times in Serie A this season
  • The visitors have only lost one of their last 14 matches in all competitions

Atalanta hoping for cup boost

Atalanta’s Serie A title bid has stalled over recent weeks, as they have won only one of their last six games in the Italian top flight, although four of those matches have ended in draws.

La Dea, who drew 1-1 with Torino on Saturday, will now be seeking some solace in the Coppa Italia when they take on Bologna, as they also look to snap a three-game winless run on home soil in domestic matches.

Unfortunately for Atalanta, their recent record against Bologna is not great, as they have failed to win any of the last four meetings, losing three of those, although it did finish 1-1 when the sides last met in Emilia-Romagna in September.

Bologna difficult to beat

Bologna have suffered defeat in just three domestic matches this season and will head into this game having only lost one of their last 14 matches in all competitions.

However, Vincenzo Italiano’s side have drawn four of their last seven and only Juventus have recorded more shares in Serie A this season than Bologna’s total of 10.

Two of Bologna’s last three games have finished 1-1, a scoreline that has also occurred in three of Atalanta’s last nine.

This match should end in a draw and do not be surprised if the two teams score a goal apiece.
