Atalanta can entertain again

Saturday’s Serie A clash between Atalanta and Torino at Gewiss Stadium promises goals. Torino have scored in three successive league games and there have been plenty of goals in recent meetings between these two sides. Back over 2.5 goals which has collected in each of the last 11 meetings between the teams.

Atalanta are third in Serie A, with 14 wins, four draws and four defeats, while Torino are tenth, with six wins, eight draws and eight losses. Atalanta are seven places and 20 points above their visitors.

Torino won their last Serie A game, beating Cagliari 2-0, but have drawn four of their last five matches in the league.

Atalanta have avoided defeat in seven of their last eight home games against Torino and should get the win, but goals is the better bet after the Italians drew 2-2 with Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Atalanta’s games at Gewiss Stadium have been high-scoring affairs, with 16 of their last 20 home games in Serie A ending with over 2.5 goals. This season, eight of their ten home matches have also gone over the goals line.

Torino have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last two Serie A away games, which is another reason to expect goals.

A 2-1 home win is the correct-score pick. They beat Como 2-1 in their last Serie A game and six of Torino’s eight defeats this season have been by a single goal.
