Barcelona to Win and Over 3.5 Match Goals

Barcelona 3-1

Reason for tip

Las Palmas have scored in five of their seven away league games this season, but have shipped at least two goals on six occasions too. Barca, who beat Espanyol 3-1 in their last home La Liga contest, can repeat that scoreline on the back of their 3-0 home win over Brest.

Barca are back on track after wobble

Barcelona should return to winning ways after a mini La Liga wobble when they play host to relegation-threatened Las Palmas on Saturday.

The Blaugrana dropped points at Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo either side of the international break, which brought their traditional rivals from Madrid back into the title race.

Hansi Flick’s side were back to their best on Tuesday when they beat Brest 3-0 in the Champions League and should have too much quality for Las Palmas if and when the game opens up.

Goals tend to flow when Martinez’s men hit the mainland

There appears to be a strong likelihood of a few goals in the game given the visitors’ approach to away games this season under a new coach.

Diego Martinez’s men have gone toe-to-toe with Valencia and Rayo Vallecano recently and won at both places with three goals each time. At least four goals have been scored in three of Las Palmas’ last four away league fixtures, so there will be chances for a few at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys if they play in a similar fashion.

Robert Lewandowski is the outstanding candidate to grab one or more as he chases the Pichichi and potentially the European Golden Shoe awards after bagging 14 league goals already, including 10 in his last eight games for Barca.
