Barnsley should be backed to win at home to Cambridge United on Saturday. The visitors have lost four times in their last six away games in League One and Barnsley will be confident of getting the three points at Oakwell.

They are tenth in League One, 13 places and 23 points above Cambridge United, who are 23rd with seven wins and 22 defeats from their 37 games this season. Barnsley have won 15, drawn seven and lost 15.

Cambridge United’s 1-0 defeat to ten-man Peterborough last weekend was their fourth consecutive League One loss. The score was 0-0 at half time, for the fourth straight game, but Peterborough created enough chances to have won by a wider margin.

They are on a losing run of two straight away games in League One and have lost four times in their last six on the road.

A narrow victory for Barnsley looks the most likely outcome, with a 2-1 win the correct-score pick. Ten of Barnsley’s 15 League One victories this season have been by one goal and Cambridge United have gone down by a single goal 13 times in 2024-25.
