      Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in five of Inter Milan’s last six matches, raising questions about their big-game mentality. The Nerazzurri head to a Bayern Munich side who have scored twice in seven of their last eight matches, but the Bavarian side are missing key defenders.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Inter have drawn each of their last two matches, while Bayern last lost at home in the Champions League in April 2021. The visitors have seen score draws in four of their last eight away trips, so back this to finish 1-1.

      Harry Kane To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Harry Kane has scored in both of his appearances since the international break, while the forward has netted in four of Bayern’s last five Champions League games. He scored home and away to Bayer Leverkusen in the last round, so back him to profit from a leaky Inter defence.

Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan Predictions

      • Both teams have scored in five of Inter’s last six matches
      • BTTS has landed in four of Bayern’s previous five
      • Bayern face a significant injury list leaving them short on numbers at the back
      • Harry Kane has scored in four straight games for club and country

Pair prep for closest tie of the round

Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG are heavy favourites to progress from their respective Champions League quarter-finals, but Bayern Munich’s clash with Inter Milan is a coin-flip. There’s little between the two in the to qualify odds, with some even making it a dead heat.

This huge encounter is a test for the pair, despite the fact that they lead their domestic leagues. Vincent Kompany has a point to prove given what seemed like a premature step up from Burnley, while Inter have come under fire of late for their record in big games of late. The Nerazurri are looking to put themselves among Europe’s elite after their last 16 exit last term, but can they navigate this first leg?

      Defensive concerns for both

Bayern Munich have a number of selection issues for this clash, with Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, and Hiroki Ito are sidelined. The Bavarians are also waiting on Aleksandar Pavlovic to return to fitness, leaving gaps in their backline.

On Friday Bayern started with Konrad Laimer at full-back, alongside Eric Dier, Kim Min-Jae and Josip Stanisic. The German outfit have kept only one clean sheet across their last five matches, after shipping goals to St Pauli and Augsburg in their two matches since the international break.

Inter don’t have the same concerns at the back, but they’ve been a soft touch at the back of late. Both teams have scored in five of their last six games, including each of their last three. They blew a 2-0 lead at Parma at the weekend and they drew 1-1 with AC Milan last week.

      Kane key for Bayern

Inter have failed to win home and away to both Napoli and Juventus this term, while they’ve won none of their four clashes with Milan. The Nerazzurri lost at Fiorentina and drew 2-2 at home with Bologna, so they can be got at defensively in big matches.

Bayern Munich may be weakened at the back, but they are a threat going forward. Harry Kane is in great form after scoring in both games for England during the international break. He’s scored in both matches for Bayern since returning to his club, while he’s netted five times across their last five Champions League games.

The hosts have seen both teams find the net in four of their last five, so back a goal for each side. The game should still be tight, so back a 1-1 draw with the Nerazzurri seeing four score draws in their last eight away games.
