Bayern Munich to Win and Over 3.5 Match Goals
Reasoning
Bayern Munich vs Werder Bremen Predictions
- Bayern have won seven of their eight home league games this term
- Bayern have scored at least three goals in all seven of her home wins this season
- Werder Bremen have failed to win any of their eight away league matches
Bayern can make hay at home fortress
Bayern Munich are hot on the heels of Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen and they will be hoping to ramp up the pressure on their title rivals with a dominant display against Werder Bremen.
The Bavarians returned after the winter break with an effortless 3-0 success against Hoffeneim at the Allianz Arena, where Harry Kane added the third to take his tally to 22 goals for the Bundesliga campaign.
That victory means Bayern have dropped only two points in eight home league outings this season, with a 2-2 draw against leaders Leverkusen their only setback.
Otherwise, Thomas Tuchel’s team have been foot perfect on their own patch, racking up 33 goals across their seven league victories.
Bayern have struck at least three times in each of those successes – they fired eight past Darmstadt while putting seven beyond Bochim – and that firepower may spell trouble for visitors.
Travel-sick Bremen set to be punished
Bremen are unbeaten in four and should do enough to secure survival, but their away form could do with improving.
Ole Werner’s side are one of only two teams in the German top-flight yet to record a road success, having drawn three and lost five of their eight road trips.
The River Islanders have failed to score in away defeats at top-four hopefuls Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund while they conceded four in losses at Heidenheim and Darmstadt.
Last season Bayern ran riot in a 6-1 victory in this fixture while they were emphatic 4-0 winners at the Weserstadion in August, suggesting there is potential for this to get ugly.
With that in mind, backing the hosts to triumph in a game featuring at least four goals looks the safest approach.
Given Bayern have kept clean sheets in five of their last six home league games, correct-score punters can side with a repeat of that 4-0 success earlier in the campaign.
