Benfica hold a 1-0 lead over Monaco following last week’s first leg and they can finish the job with a win in Lisbon on Tuesday night. The Portuguese outfit are in fine form at the moment having picked up their fifth successive win at the weekend, while Monaco’s away form should see them struggle to turn things around.

The visitors have one once in their previous 10 trips and that was at a lower-league side in the French Cup. Monaco have been beaten in each of their last three trips, while they’ve lost 3-0 at Arsenal and Inter in their last two Champions League away days.

The Ligue 1 side were beaten 3-2 at home by Benfica in the League Phase and they look vulnerable to another defeat. Benfica have won nine of their last 12 home matches and in Vangelis Pavlidis they have a forward who can help decide the game.

The striker took time to settle after his switch from AZ but he’s scored in four of Benfica’s last five European games, including each of their previous three. He has netted in both clashes between the pair this season and he scored a hat-trick in the Eagles’ last home game in Europe.
