Battling Crawley can strike at St Andrew’s

Both teams to score looks the best bet when champions Birmingham take on Crawley at St. Andrew’s in League One on Friday. The visitors have struggled at the back this season and that has seen both teams to score land in a number of their games recently.

Birmingham lead League One and have won 29 of their 40 games this season, while Crawley are 22nd in the table with nine wins and 24 losses.

Birmingham have won eight of their last ten League One matches, including a 1-0 win over Wycombe, but Crawley are struggling to find a win, with three consecutive defeats.

Birmingham lost to Peterborough in the EFL Trophy final at Wembley last week but have won 23 of the 27 games in which they’ve scored first this season. They have been odds-on to win in 33 matches, and won 25 wins.

Both teams have been struggling defensively, with Birmingham failing to keep a clean sheet in seven of their last eight League One games and Crawley shipping 81 goals this season – the most in the division.

No team has scored more League One goals this season than Birmingham’s 73, and they have scored at least twice in five of their last six league games. Crawley have also been finding the net recently, scoring in eight of their last nine matches.

Both teams have also found the net in five of Crawley’s last six League One games away from home.

Birmingham have won 18 of their last 20 League One home games and may be able to edge out Crawley in a high-scoring game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. They have been single-goal winners in two of their last three matches, while five of Crawley’s last six in the league have had three or more goals.
