      Birmingham to Win

      Reason for tip

Birmingham have already secured the League One title after winning eight of their last ten matches. They are a win away from a record-breaking points haul and face a Mansfield side that have taken one point from the last 15 on offer.

      Birmingham 2-1

      Reason for tip

Birmingham have won by a 2-1 scoreline in four of their last nine League One games and Mansfield have scored in each of their last five games, including two 2-1 defeats.

      Birmingham vs Mansfield Town Predictions

      • Birmingham have won eight and drawn two of their last ten League One games.
      • Mansfield have only taken one point from their last five matches.

Blues on the brink of history

A win for Mansfield at St Andrew’s would secure Mansfield Town’s League One status for another season, but they may find a result difficult to come by against a Birmingham side on the verge of a League One points record.

The Blues have already wrapped up the third-tier title, but a win would surpass Wolves’ record 103-point tally from 2013/14 and edge them closer to the EFL record of 106 points, set by Reading in the 2005/06 Championship campaign.

They missed out on EFL Trophy glory earlier this month, but they have won eight and drawn two of their last ten league fixtures and face a visiting side that have taken one point from the last 15 available.

The Stags have scored in all five of these games, though, so I expect them to get on the scoresheet. Two of them ended in 2-1 defeats, and Birmingham have won by that scoreline four times in their last nine league games.
