Rovers can edge out Pilgrims

Plymouth have scored at least twice in three successive Championship games, and over 2.5 goals is the bet when they visit Blackburn at Ewood Park on Saturday.

There is a huge gulf between the two sides in the league table. Blackburn are fifth in the Championship, 18 places and 20 points above Plymouth, with 14 wins, six draws and 12 defeats from their 32 games, while the visitors have won just six times.

Blackburn have won two of their last six Championship games, losing the other four, but they beat West Brom 2-0 on Wednesday. Two weeks ago they were 2-1 winners over Preston in their most recent home game. Plymouth’s form has been up and down, with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their last six.

Plymouth’s 5-1 win over Millwall on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive Championship game with over 2.5 goals. They defied odds of 12/5 to secure the victory and landed an upset over Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round.

Argyle are on a roll but this might be where they take a step backwards and a 2-1 win for the hosts is the correct-score pick.
