Blackburn Rovers to Win

Reason for tip

Watford have lost four of their last five games and have a poor record on the road, losing 13 of their 22 away games this term. They may fall to defeat once more against a Blackburn side still scrapping it out for the playoffs.

Blackburn Rovers 2-0

Reason for tip

27 of Blackburn’s 44 games this term have gone under 2.5 goals and considering Watford have only netted six times in their last ten games, a repeat of that looks likely. Take the hosts to win this one 2-0.

Blackburn Rovers vs Watford Predictions

  • Watford have lost 13 of their 22 away games
  • Blackburn are going for a fourth win in a row
  • The Hornets have failed to score in four of their last ten

Rovers to keep winning

Three wins on the spin after a disastrous start for Blackburn under Valerien Ismael means that they could still sneak into the playoffs and they should be able to keep up the winning run when they face Watford.

The Hornets have had a solid campaign under rookie manager Tom Cleverly but their recent form is a concern and the goals have seriously dried up.

Some of the teams they have lost to recently would also be a worry, falling to defeat against the likes of Oxford and Portsmouth.

The visitors have only scored six times in their last ten matches and their away record is poor, they have lost 13 of their 22 road trips this season.

By contrast Rovers have been solid at home and have netted eight in their last four games, including a 1-0 win over playoff-bound Sunderland last time out.

With the wind in their sails they may be hard to stop in this clash and although they need results elsewhere to go their way if they are to sneak into the top six, the hosts can do their part with a victory at Ewood Park.

27 of the home team’s 44 league games have gone under 2.5 goals and a repeat of that is fancied, take a 2-0 home win.
