Millwall to Win

Reason for tip

Millwall have put their foot on the gas in the race for the Championship playoffs with four wins from their last five matches and they can take down out-of-form Blackburn at Ewood Park.

Millwall 2-1

Reason for tip

Each of Millwall’s last six wins in the Championship have been by 1-0 or 2-1 scorelines, so they do not typically blow teams out of the water, and they may only edge Blackburn, who can get on the scoresheet. With that in mind, back a 2-1 win for the visitors.

Blackburn Rovers vs Millwall Predictions

  • Millwall have won four of their last five matches
  • Blackburn have won just one of their last nine assignments
  • Each of Millwall’s last six Championship wins have been either 1-0 or 2-1

Millwall among in-form teams in Championship

Millwall are heading into a defining part of their Championship campaign and they can maintain their late push for the playoffs with a win away to Blackburn.

Incentive has to be factored in at this stage of the season and Millwall’s next three matches are against Blackburn, Norwich and Swansea – all teams below them in the standings with little left to play for.

Blackburn can still mathematically make the playoffs but it is unlikely, especially given their dire run of form.

Rovers edged Luton Town 1-0 last Saturday but that was their only win in their last nine games and they have lost five of their previous seven fixtures.

Injuries hold back struggling Rovers

Valerien Ismael was only appointed Blackburn boss in February but he has so far struggled to make an impact, although they have also not been helped by injuries to the likes of Andreas Weimann and Callum Brittain.

As for Millwall, they have won three games on the spin against Portsmouth, Sheffield United and Middlesbrough and look overpriced to make it four victories in a row.

As for a correct score, each of those three wins for the Lions were by one-goal margins and 2-1 to Millwall could be the way to go.
