      Blackpool to Win

      Reason for tip

Blackpool have won two of their last three games, and been beaten just three times in 11 outings at Bloomfield Road, whereas Millwall are on a run of three defeats in four fixtures

      Blackpool 1-0

      Reason for tip

Blackpool’s last two wins have both been by a 1-0 scoreline, while they have netted exactly once in six of their last seven fixtures. Millwall on the other hand have failed to score in five of their last seven fixtures, including three 1-0 defeats

      Blackpool vs Millwall Predictions

      • Blackpool have won two of their four games under Stephen Dobbie
      • Millwall are on a run of three defeats in their last four outings
      • The Lions have picked up just one victory in their last five away fixtures

Can Blackpool keep the momentum going?

Given the teams above them have games in hand, Blackpool’s position in the Championship is somewhat perilous, sitting three points from safety with just two matches remaining.

The Tangerines therefore cannot afford to slip up at home to Millwall, and perhaps they are hitting form at the right time after two wins in their last three outings.

Both those victories have come under Stephen Dobbie, who replaced Mick McCarthy earlier this month and has given his side a chance of staying up.

After beating Birmingham 1-0 last time out, a return to Bloomfield Road should further boost confidence too, as they have been beaten in just three of their last 11 home outings.

Are Millwall running out of steam?

Millwall on the other hand head to the seaside having picked up only one win in their previous seven outings, a run that is jeopardising their promotion hopes.

Gary Rowett’s side have in fact dropped outside of the top six thanks to three defeats from their last four outings, including against relegation-threatened Wigan on Saturday.

Injuries to Callum Styles and Billy Mitchell in midfield haven’t helped, but even so, the Lions would expect a better return than one victory in five away games.

I predict that Blackpool will win this game, so 1-0 is my correct score prediction.
