Bohemians vs Dundalk Predictions

• Dundalk’s Patrick Hoban is the league’s top scorer with six goals

• Bohemians have lost four of their last five meetings with Dundalk.

Dundalk can improve on their sluggish return to action and get the better of Bohemians in a huge game for the League of Ireland champions at Dalymount Park on Friday.

Bohs tend to struggle against the Lilywhites and Dundalk manager Vinny Perth will hope that continues after his side were held 1-1 by St Patrick’s Athletic in their first match after the lockdown.

Shamrock Rovers are five points clear with 12 games remaining, and anything but a win would be a major worry for Dundalk. They beat Bohs in their first three league games last season and had nothing to play for when losing the fourth.

Patrick McEleney was unable to start against Patrick’s and may well come in for this game to shake up a midfield that looked devoid of ideas last Friday.
While Bohs got the better of Cork on Sunday, they had little to beat and were not especially impressive.

Dundalk finished 26 points ahead of Bohs last season and the Dubliners do not have their usual bumper crowd to help this time.
