Bologna to claim key win

Bologna look the best bet when Lazio visit Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Sunday.

Lazio are one place and one point above Bologna in the table, but both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season and are in the hunt for European qualification.

Bologna dominated possession in their 2-1 win away to Verona last weekend, having 68% of the ball. The victory makes it seven wins in the 13 matches in which they have been priced odds-on this season.

They are aiming for a fourth straight Serie A success and have been winners in five of their last seven league games. They have avoided defeat in nine of their last ten matches overall and Lazio might be feeling groggy after Thursday’s Europa League tie with Viktoria Plzen.

Lazio’s defence has been far from rock solid lately, with the visitors failing to keep a clean sheet in 12 of their last 15 Serie A games.

Bologna have been the winners in five Serie A home games in a row, and they have won their last two matches in front of their own fans 2-1. With three of Lazio’s seven defeats this season also coming via a 2-1 scoreline, a narrow home win looks on the cards.
