Bradford to Win

Reason for tip

Bradford City risk losing pace in the League Two title race after Saturday’s 5-4 defeat to Swindon but they have been exceptional at home this season and can bounce back with a win over Notts County, who have lost back-to-back matches in the league.

Bradford 2-0

Reason for tip

Bradford lost a thriller 5-4 against Swindown last time out but their three matches before that defeat featured under 2.5 goals and this clash at home to Notts County could be more reserved. Back the Bantams to win 2-0.

Bradford vs Notts County Predictions

  • Bradford have won 16 of their 21 home games in League Two this season
  • Notts County have lost five of their last nine matches
  • Three of Bradford’s last four matches have featured under 2.5 goals

Bradford can respond in League Two title race

The League Two title race is intensifying and Bradford City can recover from their slip-up against Swindon and go top with a win at home to Notts County.

Bradford lost 5-4 to Swindon Town in a thriller on Saturday lunchtime, going down despite a hat-trick from Calum Kavanagh, and Port Vale capitalised later that day, hammering Bromley 5-0 to move to the summit.

But the title race is far from over and Bradford are a decent bet to beat playoff hopefuls Notts County on Thursday at Valley Parade.

No League Two side has a better home record this season than Bradford, who are averaging 2.43 points per game on their own patch, having won 16 of their 21 matches.

Goals could be at a premium at Valley Parade

They have also been tight with just 12 goals conceded and only two defeats and punters should treat the 5-4 loss to Swindon as an anomaly.

That match was seriously skewed by Bradford losing Richard Smallwood to a red card after just 14 minutes and Swindon scored in the 90th and 95th minutes to turn the game on its head.

This should be a more reserved contest and Bradford can draw confidence from the fact Notts County have lost five of their last nine matches and each of their last two, scoring just once across games with Colchester and Salford.

A County defeat could be on the cards and Bradford are worth backing to win 2-0 in the correct score betting.
