Braga to Win

Reason for tip

Braga have lost only one of their eight home games this term, winning five times in that run, and should prove too strong for Bodo/Glimt in Portugal. The Norwegian visitors have won only one of their last six away games and may see their travel troubles continue on Wednesday.

Braga 2-1

Reason for tip

Braga should have enough to win this match, although they may concede in doing so. Bodo/Glimt put three past Porto – a side who beat Braga 2-1 earlier this month – in their Europa League opener, so clearly have the players to hurt sides. 2-1 has been scoreline for Braga’s last two Europa League wins and that trend may continue.

Braga vs Bodo Glimt Predictions

  • Braga have lost just one of their last nine Europa League games, coming through three rounds of qualifying to reach the competition’s league phase this term
  • Bodo/Glimt have won just one of their last six away matches
  • Braga have been beaten only once in eight home games this season

Bodo/Glimt’s travel troubles to continue in Portugal

Eliteserien leaders Bodo/Glimt have enjoyed an impressive season in Norway but their recent away results suggest that their strong form is, in the majority, down to an exceptional home record.

The Norwegian side have won ten consecutive home matches yet have managed just one victory in their last six away games, being thrashed 4-1 by Brann in that poor run.

Their Europa League campaign got off to a perfect start with a 3-2 win over European regulars Porto but the fact they followed that up with a 0-0 draw at Union St-Gilloise highlights how they struggle on the road, which is good news for Braga.

Braga bound to prove too strong

Wednesday’s hosts are looking to bounce back from a heavy 3-0 defeat at Conference League champions Olympiakos in their last game in this competition and, given Bodo/Glimt’s travel troubles, they have been granted a great opportunity to do so.

Braga have lost just one of their eight home matches this term, winning five games in a run which has seen them rack up 14 goals.

The Portuguese outfit are benefited by having the home advantage Bodo/Glimt so desperately wish they had and Carlos Carvalhal’s side should make the most of that boost.
