Lazio have already secured their place in the last 16 and in all likelihood will finish at the top of the league phase table irrespective of their result on Thursday, which is good news for hosts Braga.

The Portuguese outfit need to win to stand any chance of progress to the p[lay-off round and even that may not be enough, as they are two points adrift of a group of four teams in 21st to 24th place.

Braga do come into the game in good form with three wins in their last four games and back-to-back wins at home.

I’d expect Lazio to rotate as they are involved in an intense fight for the Champions League spots in Serie A, and if they do rest a few key men then a home win looks a solid play here given the fact this is essentially a dead-rubber for the Italian side but a must-win clash for the hosts.

Lazio rarely draw a blank but if they make some chances here Braga could win without conceding. Six of the hosts’ last eight wins have been accompanied by clean sheets and a 2-0 Braga win has a chance, as they may need to win by a few goals to reach the next round due to a -4 goal difference going into the last batch of games.
