Draw

Reason for tip

These sides are both locked in mid-table obscurity in the Premier League and the draw could be the best bet for their clash in West London. Brighton have drawn 12 games in the Premier League this term, while the Bees have drawn successive league fixtures.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Brighton have drawn four Premier League games this season 1-1 and a repeat of that scoreline could be on the cards at the Gtech Community Stadium, where this unlikely to be much between these sides.

Brentford vs Brighton Predictions

  • Brentford have drawn back-to-back games in the Premier League
  • Brighton have racked up 12 stalemates in the league this season
  • Both teams have scored in 22 of Brighton’s 32 league contests
  • Yoane Wissa has struck 15 Premier League goals this term

Hard to split mid-table pair at Gtech Community Stadium

Brentford and Brighton have been the embodiments of mid-table clubs in the Premier League this season and they could cancel each other out when they meet at the Gtech Community Stadium.

European qualification is looking increasingly unlikely for both of these sides, although Brighton are at least five points better off than their West London counterparts.

But the bottom line for both teams is that the positives have generally been matched by the negatives with Brentford winning 12 but losing 13 games this season.

Brighton, meanwhile, have racked up the draws with 12 in 32 league fixtures and the stalemate could be the way to go in this contest.

Another stalemate on the cards for Brentford

Brentford head into the game following back-to-back draws in London derbies with Chelsea and Arsenal and each of their last six contests have either been draws or matches settled by a single goal.

Brighton have dipped recently, going five games without a win and they could not even see off Leicester, who are set for relegation back to the Championship, in Saturday’s 2-2 draw at the Amex Stadium.

That said, the Seagulls have held Nottingham Forest and Manchester City to draws as well as beating Fulham and Newcastle since the start of March, so they should not be written off.

Wissa could strike in tight contest

There really is not a lot between these teams and it is worth noting the score was 0-0 when they locked horns in a pretty tepid affair on the south coast back in December.

Interestingly, 2-2 has been a more popular scoreline for Brighton than 1-1 this season but they have still drawn four league fixtures by a 1-1 scoreline.

And given how uneventful the reverse fixture was earlier in the season and the fact neither of these sides have much to play for, this could be a tight affair with 1-1 the way to go in the correct score betting.

As for a goalscorer pick, Brentford forward Yoane Wissa could be the man to back.

A remarkable 31 of the 51 goals scored by Brighton in this season’s Premier League have been netted by either Bryan Mbeumo or Wissa.

Wissa is one behind his striker partner on 15 goals but has looked particularly sharp recently, scoring at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and in the away win against Bournemouth last month.
