      Reading to Win

      Reason for tip

Reading are unbeaten in six of their last seven League One away games and thrashed Mansfield 5-1 on Monday. In contrast, Bristol Rovers have lost five of their last seven home league matches and seven of their last eight overall. With play-off ambitions driving them, the Royals are the clear value.

      Reading 2-0

      Reason for tip

Reading have kept things tight on the road, while Rovers have failed to score in three of their last four home defeats. With both teams fighting for opposite ends of the table, a professional 2-0 away win for Reading is a solid correct-score pick.

      Bristol Rovers vs Reading Predictions

      Royals’ play-off push to continue

Reading are worth backing to get an away win at Bristol Rovers on Saturday in a game with massive ramifications at the top and bottom of the table.

The hosts have lost five of their last seven League One home matches, while Reading have gone unbeaten in six of their last seven games on the road and thrashed Mansfield 5-1 on Monday.

The Royals are seventh in League One, 14 places and 29 points above Bristol Rovers, with 20 wins, 12 draws and 12 losses. The hosts sit 21st with just 12 wins from their 44 games this season.

Rovers are inside the relegation places due to an inferior goal difference to Burton, while for Reading they are outside of the top six on goal difference as they look to sneak past Leyton Orient into the final play-off position.

Bristol Rovers lost 1-0 to Stevenage on Monday in their last League One game and were unable to break their losing habit. Rovers, who were priced at 29/20 to win, had more possession – 71% – than in any of their league games this season.

Backing Bristol Rovers’ opponents during their current run of seven defeats in eight League One games would have resulted in a profit of 6.53 units and Reading can win by a 2-0 scoreline.
