Burnley To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Burnley are unbeaten in 28 Championship games and the title challengers should have too much for Norwich, who have four defeats and just one win in their last seven away from home. The Clarets have the league’s best defence and have conceded just one goal across their last nine home games, and they can win to nil at Turf Moor on Friday.

Burnley 2-0

Reason for tip

Burnley haven’t been prolific in front of goal with 55 goals in 41 league games. Norwich have conceded exactly twice in each of their last two trips and as the hosts are expected to keep a clean sheet a 2-0 Burnley win has a chance.

Jaidon Anthony To Score Anytime

With Lyle Foster expected to miss out, Jaidon Anthony stands out as a potential scorer for Burnley as he has three goals in his last four games.

Burnley vs Norwich Predictions

  • Burnley are unbeaten in 28 in the Championship.
  • The Clarets have conceded just one goal in their last nine at home.
  • Norwich have four defeats in their last seven away (W1, D2).

Another win and a shut-out for Clarets

Burnley were knocked off top spot in the Championship on Tuesday after a 0-0 draw at Derby County but they can return to the summit by beating Norwich at Turf Moor on Friday.

Leeds now lead the way and they play on Saturday so a Burnley stay at the top would likely be temporary, but they should be able to get the result they need to ensure they at least remain in the top two.

The Clarets are on an incredible 28-game unbeaten run in the league and much of their success has been due to their exceptional defence. Scott Parker’s men have conceded just 12 goals in 41 league games, the best record in the Championship by some distance, and they’ve kept eight clean sheets in their last nine at home.

Norwich’s own promotion hopes have faded and they sit seven points outside of the top six with just five games left to play. The Canaries have won just one of their last seven across all competitions and they’ve lost four of their last seven away.

The hosts should be able to win and a home win to nil looks a strong play given Burnley’s impressive defensive record. A 2-0 win appeals as the Lancashire side aren’t necessarily prolific scorers with 55 goals in their 41 league games, and Norwich have conceded exactly twice in each of their last two trips.

Lyle Foster is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury at Derby and that will come as a blow to Parker. There are other members of the squad who can step up, however, and Jaidon Anthony stands out as a potential scorer here as he has three goals in his last four games.
