Burton backed for crucial victory

Burton can be backed to win at home to Cambridge United in League One on Saturday and give their League One survival hopes a massive boost while at the same time relegating the visitors.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Burton, in 20th, are three places above Cambridge United in 23rd, but they have played one fewer game. Burton have ten wins and 20 defeats, while Cambridge United have nine wins and 24 losses.

Albion are outside of the relegation zone on goal difference and this is a great opportunity to potentially put some daylight between them and 21st-placed Bristol Rovers.

The visitors’ defence is a concern. Cambridge United have conceded 38 goals on the road this season in League One – an average of 1.73 goals per game from their 22 away matches.

A narrow 1-0 win for Burton looks the most likely outcome in the correct-score market. At least one of the sides has failed to score in three of the last four League One head-to-heads, and three of Burton’s ten league wins this season have come via a 1-0 scoreline.
