      Cambridge United to Win

      Reason for tip

Bristol Rovers’ dismal away form, with four consecutive losses on the road and a poor overall record, makes Cambridge an attractive bet for a home victory. Despite Cambridge’s struggles, their opponents’ recent form gives them an edge.

      Cambridge United 1-0

      Reason for tip

With Rovers failing to score in three of their last four away games and Cambridge’s need for a solid defensive display, a narrow 1-0 victory for the hosts looks like a strong prediction.

Cambridge United vs Bristol Rovers Predictions

      Rovers’ away-day woes to continue

Cambridge United should be backed to get a home win over Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

Garry Monk’s side take on a Bristol Rovers team who have lost their last four League One away games and might be heading for more pain on their travels.

Bristol Rovers are three places above Cambridge United in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won as they try to fight off relegation down to League Two. Rovers are 20th with six wins and 13 defeats, while Cambridge are 23rd with four wins and 14 losses.

Bristol Rovers lost 3-2 at home to Leyton Orient on Wednesday in their last League One outing – the first match under new manager Inigo Calderon – and Cambridge look a value bet to win this game.

Bristol Rovers have failed to score in three of their last four league away matches, losing to nil at Leyton Orient, Birmingham and Stevenage and 3-1 at Exeter.

Rovers have now lost nine of their last 11 away games in League One and a 1-0 win for Cambridge is a decent correct-score option in what should be a low-scoring match between two teams at the wrong end of the table.
