      Cardiff vs Crystal Palace Predictions

Cardiff City’s Premier League survival hopes are hanging by the slimmest of threads right now, and heading into the penultimate game of the season they find themselves needing to make up a four point deficit to stand any chance of safety. Not only that, but their goal difference is far inferior to 17th placed Brighton’s, so realistically they probably need victories in both their remaining matches to stand a chance.

These victories don’t exactly look forthcoming for The Bluebirds either. They lost 1-0 away to the already relegated Fulham last weekend and have fallen to defeat in eight of their last 10 Premier League matches. They have failed to score in five of these games too, so Saturday’s match won’t be an easy one for the home fans.

Crystal Palace have endured another rollercoaster of a season, but their quality has shone through in the end and they find themselves looking at a comfortable, if unremarkable, mid-table finish this season.

Last weekend they played out a drab goalless draw against Everton, but their incredible 3-2 win away to Arsenal is illustrative of their form away from home. Despite their underperformance at Selhurst Park, The Eagles have won four of their last five Premier League away days, and incredibly only Manchester City have won more points away from home than Crystal Palace since the turn of the year.

This isn’t good news for the Cardiff fans who have seen their side lose four of their last five home games in the league. Once again, the odds look stacked against the relegation candidates, and we’re expecting their return to the second tier to be confirmed on Saturday evening.

Considering Palace’s excellent away form, backing Roy Hodgson’s side to win on Saturday evening looks a great value bet along with a 2-0 correct score predictions.

Additionally, we’re opting for Luka Milivojevic in the anytime goalscorer market. The Eagles midfielder has scored 12 Premier League goals this season, and his role as number one penalty taker could be of interest. Cardiff have conceded seven penalties this season, and they face a Crystal Palace side who have been awarded 11 penalties themselves. In fact, the visitors have been given more penalties than any other Premier League team when away from home this season, so backing Milivojevic to find the net looks fantastic value for money.
