Draw 1-1

Cardiff’s last three league games have finished 1-1 and a repeat result could be on the cards here against Swansea, who have scored and conceded 30 goals in 26 league games.

Cardiff vs Swansea City Predictions

  • Cardiff are on a five-game unbeaten run.
  • Both teams have scored in eight of Swansea’s last 10 league games.
  • Cardiff’s last three league games have finished 1-1.

Pressure on Bluebirds in South Wales derby

Cardiff and Swansea meet in one of three early kick offs in the Championship on Saturday for what is sure to be a hard-fought South Wales derby.

Swansea have dominated this fixture in recent seasons with five wins in the last seven meetings, losing just once, but Cardiff are the team in the better form.

The Bluebirds are on a five-game unbeaten run, while Swansea have four defeats and just two wins across their last seven games.

The Swans sit comfortably in mid-table but Cardiff are in desperate need of points as they sit just one point clear of danger. I’m expecting this to be an incredibly close game and it may well finish all square, so the best angle here could be backing both teams to score rather than going for a result.

Goals at both ends has been a regular fixture in Swansea’s games, landing in eight of their last 10 league assignments, and both teams have scored in each of Cardiff’s last five Championship games.

Cardiff’s need for points may be greater but Swansea should be fully motivated for this game as they have the chance to increase the relegation pressure on their bitter rivals. Swansea have been the better side over the season but Cardiff have put a run together and they can continue their unbeaten streak with a 1-1 draw, which has been the score in each of their last three league games.
