Casa Pia vs Estoril Predictions

Lowly sides unlikely to serve up a classic

It is the time of season across all major divisions when incentives have to be factored in to bets and Casa Pia and Estoril have little to play for going into their Primeira Liga fixture on Monday.

The European places look out of reach for both sides, who are also comfortably clear of the relegation zone in Portugal’s top flight.

It is therefore understandable that both sides could already be thinking about next season and their clash at the Estadio Municipal de Rio Maior could be underwhelming.

Casa Pia have shared the spoils in two of their last three matches and sandwiched between their draws with Farense and AVS was another tight game against FC Porto, who beat them 1-0.

Likely lack of goals points to draw

As for Estoril, they seem to have checked out recently, losing their last two games against Famalicao and Braga without scoring.

But they thumped AVS 3-0 at the start of the month and it can be hard to settle on a result when they are involved.

Casa Pia have scored only 35 time in their 30 league games this season and the likely lack of goals enhances the chances of a draw, which is the best bet for Monday’s contest.

As for a correct score, it is hard to see this being a high-scoring battle but both teams have scored in four of Casa Pia’s last six contests, so 1-1 could be the way to go.
