Celtic vs Sparta Prague Predictions
- Celtic won just one of their last five games in all competitions.
- Celtic conceded at least two goals in four of their last five assignments.
- Celtic lost two of their last three games at home.
Celtic to drop more points?
After a miserable run of four games without a win, Celtic finally stopped the rot on Sunday with a cup semi-final 2-0 triumph against Aberdeen.
Emboldened by their overdue win, the Bhoys will hope to carry their momentum into Thursday’s game with Sparta Prague, and having taken just one point from two matches in Group H so far, the Scottish champions are in desperate need of a win.
Sparta are currently propping up the rest in the section after successive heavy defeats to Lille (1-4) and Milan (0-3), though playing the bones of 70 minutes with 10 men against Les Dogues was far from ideal.
The Rudi might fancy their chances of causing an upset in Glasgow this week however, against a loose Celtic backline that shipped at least two goals in four of their last five assignments.
The Hoops’ confidence would have been rocked by two defeats in three games on their own patch, and with their self-belief still fragile, Sparta look worth backing in the double chance market this week, while 2-2 draw is also advised for our correct score prediction.
Celtic’s last five games saw a healthy 18 goals combined notched, and having shared the spoils in high-scoring ties in two of their last three outings against Aberdeen (3-3) and Lille (2-2), another score draw looks possible.
