Charlton to Win

Reason for tip

Charlton have been strong at home in League One, winning four of their last five matches at The Valley. Sitting seventh in the table, they are four places above Stevenage and have scored in eight of their last nine games. With Stevenage struggling defensively, Charlton should be backed for the win.

Charlton 1-0

Reason for tip

Charlton can edge out Stevenage with a narrow 1-0 victory on Saturday. Six of their 12 league wins this season have come by this scoreline, and they have won their last two home matches. Stevenage have failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four games, making this result likely.

Charlton vs Stevenage Predictions

Side with in-form Addicks

Charlton have won four of their last five League One home games and they should be backed to beat Stevenage at The Valley on Saturday.

Seventh-placed Charlton are four places above Stevenage in 11th, but have played one game more. Charlton have 12 wins, eight draws and eight losses from their 28 games, while Stevenage have 11 wins, seven draws and nine defeats.

Stevenage beat Charlton 1-0 in September, but this was just their first win over them in three League One meetings.

It would be no surprise to see Charlton hit the target, having scored in eight of their last nine league games and at least twice in seven of those matches.

Stevenage’s defence has been creaking of late, with the visitors failing to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four League One games.

They have won their last two League One games as underdogs, but Charlton are a tougher proposition and the hosts should be backed to get the win.

Charlton have enjoyed two straight home victories in League One and six of their 12 wins this season have been by a 1-0 scoreline, so a narrow success for the hosts appeals in the correct-score market.
