      Chelsea vs Legia Warsaw Predictions

      • Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has three goals in eight Conference League starts
      • Chelsea have scored 35 goals in this competition this term
      • Legia Warsaw have lost four of their previous five Conference League games

Convincing win needed to boost morale of Blues

Chelsea are odds-on to win the Conference League and performed like it in the first leg of their quarter-final, securing a 3-0 away win against Legia Warsaw last Thursday.

The pressure should be off for the second leg but the Blues’ poor form domestically means that a resounding win may be required to lift the mood at Stamford Bridge.

Warsaw followed their first-leg defeat with a home defeat in the Polish Ekstraklasa this weekend and look set to be outclassed in this one.

Enzo Maresca’s side were held to a 2-2 draw by Ipswich on Sunday and their grip on a Champions League spot is starting to look very shaky after just five wins from their last 16 Premier League games.

      Forgotten man could star

Despite the huge figures spent on this squad, they are still lacking in key areas, namely in goal and up front.

Maresca has used Europe as an opportunity to blood some of the club’s younger talent and that should continue.

However this competition has also been crucial for some of the forgotten players in the Chelsea squad, namely Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The midfielder has three goals in eight starts in this competition and could add to that tally in this clash.

Correct score backers should note the fact that Chelsea have netted 35 goals in this competition already and that Warsaw have lost four of their last five, expect a dominant 4-0 win for the hosts.
