Under 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Torino’s recent games have consistently featured few goals, with four of their last five Serie A matches going under 2.5 goals. Como’s inconsistency and Torino’s strong defensive record suggest a low-scoring encounter, especially with Torino’s last three league games all staying under the 2.5-goal mark.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

A 1-1 draw looks a strong option, as both teams have drawn frequently—Torino with 13 and Como with nine. Torino’s last two matches ended level, and Como have drawn their last two at home. With goals expected to be limited, a tight stalemate is a likely outcome.

Como vs Torino Predictions

Another struggle for Torino

Sunday’s clash between Como and Torino at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia is unlikely to be a goalfest. Four of the last five of Torino’s Serie A games have gone under 2.5 goals and their last three matches in the league all stayed under that mark.

Torino are tenth in Serie A, three places above Como, with nine wins, 13 draws and nine losses from their 31 games, while the hosts have eight wins, nine draws and 14 defeats.

Como’s recent form has been inconsistent, with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their last six games. They beat Monza 3-1 last weekend, but Torino are hard to beat and have avoided defeat in nine of their last ten games.

Torino’s 1-1 draw with Verona was their fourth Serie A game in five with under 2.5 goals and a surprise result, with Torino priced at 3/4 to win. They restricted Verona to one shot on target, but have failed to win three of the five games in which they have been odds-on this season.

The visitors’ last few games have not featured many goals. Four of Torino’s last six Serie A away games have gone under 2.5 goals.
It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking like a decent correct-score bet. Como have played two straight draws at home in Serie A while Torino have had two successive stalemates, and no side has drawn more games with under 2.5 goals this season than Torino.
