Crawley may be out of form, but they look a value bet at home to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.

Both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season, but Crawley are 22nd in League One with seven wins and 21 defeats, while Bristol Rovers are two places above them in 20th with 12 wins and 19 losses.

Crawley lost 5-1 to Huddersfield last weekend in their last League One game, and were 4-0 down at half time – the sixth consecutive match in which they have been losing at the interval. The result was no surprise, with Huddersfield priced at 1/2 to win the game.

However, Bristol Rovers have been disappointing in front of goal away from home this season, scoring just 11 goals in 19 games. They have been kept at bay in six of their last eight League One matches on the road.

The visitors’ defence could hand Crawley an opportunity. Bristol Rovers have conceded 36 goals away from home this season in League One – an average of almost two goals per game from their 19 matches on the road.

The visitors’ away form is a big concern. Bristol Rovers have failed to win any of their last six League One games on the road and have lost nine of their last 11 away matches in the division.

It’s hard to draw many conclusions from Bristol Rovers’ recent League One results, with two wins, one draw and three defeats in their last six outings. They beat Huddersfield 1-0 at odds of 16/5, but also lost to Lincoln, Rotherham and Northampton.

Crawley may be struggling, but they could edge this game. Three of their seven league wins this season have been by a 1-0 scoreline, and backing them to win in the same manner looks a decent correct-score bet.
