Czech Republic vs Belgium Predictions
- The Czech Republic have scored in each of their last 16 home internationals.
- The hosts have netted at least twice in six of their last eight starts in Prague, with six of those games producing over 2.5 goals.
- Belgium have conceded in six of their last eight matches, with six of those games generating over 2.5 goals.
Czechs to test the Belgians in Prague
The Czech Republic have proven themselves to be a decent outfit on home soil and Belgium could face a real test in a high scoring encounter this Saturday.
The visitors are the No.1 ranked side in the world and deserved favourites for this clash, however, we’re reluctant to back the Belgians at a shade of odds-on in this one.
The Czechs beat England here in Euro 2020 qualifying which typified how dangerous they can be and have won six of their last eight starts in Prague. Jaroslav Silhavy’s men have also netted in each of their last 16 home internationals, while they’ve also bagged two goals or more in six of their last eight home matches.
Meanwhile, Belgium have won and conceded in six of their last eight outings including their 3-1 victory over Wales on Wednesday and are evidently susceptible to sides who boast an attacking threat, despite their overall class advantage.
With the Czech’s also firing six past Estonia in midweek, this has all the makings of a goal-fest and we think over 2.5 and both teams to score is a knocking bet at odds-against.
It would be no surprise to see Belgium assert themselves over the course of the 90 minutes, though the Czech’s strong home form and goalscoring prowess tip the scales in favour of a draw for correct score backers and 2-2 is our prediction for the action in Prague.
