Derby vs Huddersfield Predictions

  • Derby are having off-field issues and as a result they’ve been left with a wafer-thin squad
  • The Rams lost six of their finals seven league games last term
  • The hosts lost 24 of 46 Championship matches last season

More trouble for Rams

Both of these sides have been backed for the drop in our Championship relegation predictions, but we can see Huddersfield getting off to the stronger start at Pride Park this weekend.

Derby haven’t got enough players to pad out a squad, while they’re missing Krystian Bielik and Jason Knight through injury at the moment. Their side is low on quality and shy of confidence, having lost six of their last seven Championship games.

Meanwhile, Huddersfield scored twice in their final three away trips of last term and even half that tally should see off a Derby side who are heavily backed to go down.

The Rams lost 24 of 46 games last season to finish 21st and that includes opening last term with five losses in six. They’ve gotten even weaker since then and we’re backing Huddersfield to take full advantage here.
