Derby vs Sheffield United Predictions
Blades’ promotion push to continue
Sheffield United can take the away win at Derby on Saturday and add to the hosts’ recent woes. Paul Warne’s side are out-of-form coming into this game, and Chris Wilder’s outfit will be confident of getting a result at Pride Park.
They are second in the Championship and 20 places above Derby in the table. The visitors, who won 18 of their 29 games this season, have 33 more points than a Derby side with seven wins, six draws and 16 defeats.
United are in form, having won three of their last four league games. They have tasted victory in four of their last five away matches and have won three of the last four Championship meetings with Derby.
It would be no surprise to see the Blades get on the scoresheet, having scored two goals or more in 15 of their 29 Championship games this season. They have also averaged 1.50 goals a game in their six away matches against bottom-half teams.
Derby are on a poor run, having lost 2-1 to Cardiff on Saturday and 1-0 to Sunderland in their last home game.
Their struggles at the back will be a concern for Warne. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in 18 of their last 20 league games and have conceded in nine of their last 11 at home.
Derby are on a losing streak and, Sheffield United suffered a heavy defeat in their last game against Hull, they can secure a comfortable win here.
Eight of United’s 18 Championship successes this season have been by two goals and a 3-1 win for the visitors gets the vote for correct-score bettors.
