Djurgarden vs Orebro Predictions
The 2018 Swedish Allsvenskan is now edging towards the summer break with both these sides having just two more matches after this one before a six-week hiatus. They’ll both be keen to put in good showings to round off the first part of the season, which has brought mixed results for these clubs.
Djurgarden haven’t really managed to build on a 3rd place finish last term. They won exactly half of their league games in the 2017 season and have Europa League action to look forward to in a few months. They do come into this game following back-to-back wins but are only 9th in the standings, with a relatively poor return of 11 points from 9 games.
Orebro by contrast will be delighted with their start. Having flirted with relegation at times last season, they’ve taken 15 points from their opening 8 matches and could move as high as 3rd if they can back that up here. Axel Kjäll’s men have caught many people by surprise but they did suffer their first league defeat of the season last time out against Hammarby.
Overall though, their bright start suggests they are a bit long at 9/2 for the win here. They’ve been excellent on the road so far and boast the best away record in the division with 2.5 points per game on average on their travels. Indeed they’ve won 3 straight away games, scoring 8 goals in the process so they will fancy they can cause problems in this one.
Djurgarden do boast a good record against Orebro but all the signs are that the visitors have improved over the off-season and will be more of a match this time. Djurgarden have won just 2 of their last 8 in the league so they certainly look pretty short at 11/20 here. One of those victories was at home to 2nd bottom Dalkurd last time out and that was only a narrow 1-0 home win, so there’s reason to doubt them heading into this one.
Overall, backing Orebro +1.0 Asian Handicap looks like the smart bet. They’ve been much the more impressive side so far this term and it’s hard to see them not making a real game of this.
They’d probably still see a draw as a positive result though and backing a 1-1 draw looks about the best move in the Correct Score market.
