Doncaster vs Crystal Palace Predictions
- Crystal Palace have won four of their last five matches without conceding
- Five of the Eagles’ last six matches have featured fewer than three goals
- Rovers have conceded in ten of their last 11 home matches
Palace rock solid at the back
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner will be delighted at how difficult his side have been to beat in the last few weeks and the Eagles should maintain their strong recent form by winning their FA Cup fourth-round tie at Doncaster on Monday.
The London outfit took their time to get their act together after a strong finish to last season, but they have won four of their last five matches and kept clean sheets in recent away successes at Leicester, West Ham and Manchester United.
All this is bad news for Rovers, who have been on a decent run themselves in League Two after they knocked Championship Hull out on penalties in the last round, and they may not be able to lay a glove on the resolute Eagles.
Rovers face a tough task
Grant McCann’s side have their eyes firmly on promotion after four successive wins took them into the top three, but the manager now has a job to pick his side up after a 5-2 defeat to Chesterfield in midweek.
They would have loved to have faced the Eagles when they were struggling at the beginning of the campaign, but they have not been free-scoring on their own patch and they may not threaten too much.
So, with Glasner expected to name a strong side, it looks best to back palace to win without conceding and correct-score enthusiasts are pointed towards a 2-0 away success, which was exactly what palace earned at the King Power, London Stadium and Old Trafford.
