Eintracht Frankfurt vs Barcelona Predictions

Frankfurt up against it

Getting through to the Europa League quarter-finals was a major achievement for Frankfurt, but they would have hoped for a much easier draw than a first meeting with Barcelona.

The German outfit head into the clash having drawn three successive matches, most recently against the Bundesliga’s bottom club Greuther Furth.

They are unbeaten in six, but form at home has certainly slumped of late, losing four and winning just once in eight outings, who two of those defeats coming to sides in the bottom half of the table.

Barcelona heading for glory?

Winning La Liga might be beyond Barcelona this season, but the Europa League is very much in their sights, especially after knocking out Napoli and Galatasaray in the last two rounds.

Xavi has still only lost one away match since taking charge, and that was to Bayern Munich in December, with his side having now won five successive fixtures on the road.

Barca’s last two games saw them beat Sevilla 1-0 and Real Madrid 4-0, extending the current run to four victories in a row, while they have also registered 10 successes from their last 13 outings.

Frankfurt are right up against it here. I predict that Barcelona will win, selecting a 2-0 victory as a correct score prediction.
