Free-scoring hosts can pile pressure on Dortmund

Eintracht Frankfurt are worth backing to get the win at home to Borussia Dortmund on Friday when Dino Toppmoller’s side take on Nuri Sahin’s team at Deutsche Bank Park.

Eintracht Frankfurt are riding high in the Bundesliga, eight points above Borussia Dortmund. The hosts have ten wins from their 17 games this season, while the visitors have won seven times so far.

Borussia Dortmund’s form is a concern. They lost 4-2 to ten-man Holstein Kiel on Tuesday, despite dominating possession with 75.3 per cent of the ball.

Eintracht Frankfurt will be confident of scoring, having found the net in 16 consecutive games. They have scored three or more goals in seven of their 17 Bundesliga matches this season, including a 7-2 win over VFL Bochum in November.

Eintracht Frankfurt have a real edge in terms of recent results and a 3-1 home win is an attractive correct-score pick. Three of Eintracht’s ten wins this season have been by two goals, while two of Dortmund’s six defeats have also come by that margin.
