Eintracht Frankfurt are still pushing hard for a Champions League spot and over 2.5 goals looks the best bet when they host Union Berlin at Deutsche Bank Park on Sunday.

They are third in the league, 11 places and 19 points above Union Berlin. Eintracht have won 12, drawn six and lost six of their 24 games, while Union have six wins, five draws and 13 defeats.

Eintracht Frankfurt have recorded only one victory in their last six Bundesliga games, but these are tough times for Union Berlin too, with four of their last six matches ending in defeat.

Eintracht Frankfurt lost 4-1 to Bayer Leverkusen last Saturday, in what was their fourth Bundesliga game in six with over 2.5 goals. They were priced at 7/2 to win the game, so the result was expected even if the margin of defeat was disappointing, but they bounced back to beat Ajax 2-1 in Amsterdam in the Europa League on Thursday.

Over 2.5 goals has been a winner in five of Eintracht Frankfurt’s last seven Bundesliga home games and they have scored three goals or more in eight of their 24 league games this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt may be able to edge out Union Berlin, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Union Berlin have lost eight of their last ten away games in the Bundesliga but have gone down by a single goal in two of their last three.
