England vs Finland Predictions

  • Finland have never beaten England in 11 attempts, losing on nine occasions
  • Finland’s last four away fixtures have seen them concede at least two goals in each match
  • Greece beat Finland 3-0 in Piraeus on Saturday

Three Lions to roar at Wembley

England began life after Gareth Southgate with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Ireland and there should be more to come from a rejuvenated Three Lions.

Lee Carsley has been tasked with leading England on a temporary basis, and many expected a baptism of fire in Dublin at the weekend.

However, the beaten Euro 2024 finalists showed no signs of a hangover from their latest tournament disappointment and made light work of the Boys in Green with a dominant display.

The scoreline could have been more emphatic at the Aviva Stadium with the Three Lions managing nine shots on target and they were rarely troubled when going 2-0 ahead early in the first half.

Finland offered little a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Greece and England can come out on top with a similar result at Wembley.

Jack the lad once more for England

Jack Grealish had a somewhat underwhelming time for club and country last season but he seems to be playing with a point to prove in the new campaign.

The Manchester City man struggled to make his mark under Gareth Southgate, but he wasted no time justifying his selection from Carsley with England’ second goal in Dublin after just 26 minutes on Saturday.

Another convincing display is expected from England on Tuesday and Grealish could get more opportunities to justify his inclusion by getting his second goal in as many games for the national side this week.
