Estrela Amadora vs Boavista Predictions

• Boavista have drawn four of their last nine league games
• There have been under 2.5 goals in five of Estrela’s last seven games in the Primeira Liga and Boavista’s last four also went under 2.5 goals
• These two teams have scored twice between them in eight games

Draw is fancied between strugglers

There was just a point and a place between Estrela and Boavista in the Portuguese top flight last season and there may be little to separate the two when they meet this time around.

Both teams stayed up narrowly last season and have had a slow start to the new campaign.

Estrela have taken just one point from their four league games this term while Boavista’s 1-0 win over Casa Pia in the first game of the season is the only goal that they have managed in four outings.

Indeed, goals have been at a premium for both teams, who have netted just twice between them in eight matches.

This is not a new issue though, Estrela scored 33 times in 34 matches last season, only bottom side Chaves found the net with less regularity.   

It was a stalemate when these teams last met and with neither team looking the most trustworthy for win purposes it may pay to side with another draw.

It looks set to be a long battle against the drop for both teams and with them both struggling to find the net the goalless draw looks a real runner for correct score purposes.
