Nottingham Forest To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

Forest were rampant in their 7-0 win over Brighton and should be able to ease their way to a victory over League One Exeter without conceding

Nottingham Forest 3-0

Reason for tip

Exeter have conceded ten goals in their last two matches and it would not be a surprise if in-form Forest eased to a 3-0 success

Exeter City vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

  • Exeter have not kept a clean sheet in their last nine home matches
  • The Grecians have taken just one point from their last five games
  • Forest have kept six clean sheets in their last nine games

Grecians could be in for a difficult night

Not even the most optimistic of Nottingham Forest fans would have anticipated preparing for a battle to get into new season’s Champions League, but the Tricky Trees are flying and that’s bad news for Exeter City, who they face in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Tuesday.

The wheels could have come off after a 5-0 reverse at another surprise package Bournemouth, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side bounced back in great style with a 7-0 win over Brighton, which means morale could hardly be higher for their visit to Devon.

Their hosts are still looking over their shoulder in their League One relegation fight and could hardly have found worse form as they prepare for a visit from red-hot Forest, so this one could get messy.

Forest can continue their fairytale season

The Grecians only success in their last nine games was their 3-1 victory over Oxford in the previous round and their defence has been licking its wounds over the last couple of weeks after they fell to a 6-2 home defeat to Leyton Orient and were they defeated 4-1 at Stevenage.

With Forest’s defence holding firm in six of their last nine outings, there looks a strong chance that the visitors will head back north with their clean sheet intact, and a comfortable night looking likely for the East Midlands side, so correct-score punters are pointed to a 3-0 away success.
