Draw

Reason for tip

Both of these sides are in excellent form and may be hard to split. Braga are unbeaten in six matches, winning five times and only being held by Sporting in that run, but Famalicao have gone six games without a defeat on their own patch and can hold on for a point, just as they did in the reverse fixture.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

This pair played out a 3-3 thriller in the reverse fixture and while the result may be the same this time, the scoreline is unlikely to be replicated. Braga have netted exactly one goal in three of their last four away matches and a 1-1 draw seems the likeliest scoreline on Friday.

Famalicao vs Braga Predictions

  • Famalicao are unbeaten in six home matches, winning each of the last four
  • Braga are on a six-match unbeaten run, winning five times in that sequence and only drawing with Sporting
  • Only Benfica (28) have amassed more points than Braga’s 23 in their last ten games, although Famalicao are not too far behind on 19

Brilliant Braga arrive in fine form

A strong end to the campaign means Braga are well on track to dodge the Conference League and secure a spot in the Europa League for next season, with Carlos Carvalhal’s side sat third and one point ahead of Porto following a 2-0 win over Estoril on Saturday.

That win marked Braga’s fifth win in a six-match unbeaten run – in which their only dropped points came against the champions, Sporting – and that sensational sequence should come as a surprise to nobody, as the Archbishops have been one of Portugal’s form sides for a while now.

Only Benfica (28) have amassed more points than Braga’s 23 in their last ten games while they have lost only one of their last 14 league matches, making them favourites for Friday’s trip to Famalicao.

Famalicao fancied to frustrate visitors

That is not to say their hosts will make life easy, though. Famalicao have been in solid form themselves, picking up just four points less than Braga across their last ten games, and there is reason to believe they can hold on for a draw on Friday.

Armando Evangelista’s side have been tough to beat on their own patch of late, avoiding defeat in six matches and winning each of the last four in that run.

The pair played out a 3-3 thriller in December’s reverse fixture and while the goals may not flow as freely this time, the points could be shared once again.
