Famalicao vs Estoril Predictions

Famalicao to get a rare win?

Victories have been fewer and far between for Famalicao of late, hence why they sit just four points above the Primeira Liga relegation zone, but they have not been too bad at home.

Rui Pedro Silva took charge in December and has made the team hard to beat, suffering just five defeats in 17 games, with only one of those losses coming at Estádio Municipal 22 de Junho.

Tondela and Moreirense are among the teams who they have beaten of late, and although they are seven without a win, four of those fixtures have ended all square, including a couple of 0-0 draws.

Estoril’s wretched away run

Estoril are in mid-table in the Primeira Liga, but that is largely down to their home form, as on the road they are without a win in eight, a run that includes six defeats.

Bruno Pinheiro’s side have failed to score in four of the last five of those fixtures, while they have not tasted victory in five when factoring in home form as well.

Of their five away wins, three came against sides below Famalicao in the table and their struggles were outlined in their last match, a 2-2 draw at home to bottom club Belenenses.

I fancy that Famalicao could end their recent poor run of form in this match, so a home win is my initial selection, picking 2-1 as a correct score prediction.
